Cracked iPhone screen

What to do when iPhone glass breaks, touch still works or the display starts showing lines.

See safe first checks

What the symptoms may tell you

A crack can be limited to glass or accompany display and touch damage. Coloured lines, black patches, flicker and ghost touches are useful details for the quote; they do not prove which internal part is damaged.

Safe checks to try first

  1. 1Keep fingers away from loose glass and remove a damaged screen protector only if it lifts without force.
  2. 2If the phone still works, make a separate backup before the fault gets worse.
  3. 3Note the exact iPhone model and whether the display, touch, Face ID and front camera work.

What to avoid

Do not press a lifting screen flat or keep charging a phone that is hot, swollen or visibly bent.

Next step

Send the model and a clear photo of the damage. The written quote will identify the screen grade, total price and any known feature or parts-message limitations.

What I can help with

Screen replacement is considered after model and condition checks. A screen repair does not include board or Face ID repair.
