PS4 SSD replacement

Plan a compatible PS4, Slim or Pro drive upgrade and system-software setup.

See safe first checks

What the symptoms may tell you

A 2.5-inch SATA SSD can replace a compatible PS4 system drive. More capacity helps only when the new drive is larger; an SSD is not a guaranteed remedy for every crash.

Safe checks to try first

  1. 1Identify the exact PS4 model and current storage size.
  2. 2Back up supported saves and captures and check what cannot be restored automatically.
  3. 3Agree the SSD model, condition, capacity and system-software reinstallation plan before fitting.

What to avoid

Do not dispose of or format the original drive before checking data and handover. A used replacement SSD must not be assumed empty.

Next step

Send the console model, desired capacity and whether the current drive still works.

What I can help with

Compatible PS4 fitting is £59 labour plus SSD. The exact drive and total price are confirmed in writing before booking.
